The Old Fort Lowell Live-at-Home Program exists to provide services which make it possible for our neighbors to live independently as long as possible

This neighborhood program is entirely volunteer-based and charges no fees of any kind. Providing a variety of services enables our elderly neighbors to remain living independently in their homes while enhancing their quality of life, as well as to help those of any age who have a temporary need. All volunteers and clients must live in the area between Grant north to the Rillito, and Swan east to the Pantano Wash. The goal of the OFLLAH Program is to strengthen a sense of community for all.

OFLLAH was incorporated in 1997, after being created by the Old Fort Lowell Neighborhood Association earlier that year. OFLLAH has a Board of Directors and an Advisory Board, both made up of neighborhood residents. The Board meets monthly to conduct business and set policy. A clinical social worker (and neighborhood resident) contracts with the Board to act as Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator meets with clients, coordinates all services between recipients and volunteers and assists in manditory training and plans quarterly Continuing Education Seminars on relevant topics for volunteers.

OFLLAH has been able to grow and expand its services because of the energy and ideas of all those involved.
